Many Spongebob Squarepants games are being developed and have come out in the past. Some of these games are surprisingly good, but others are terrible. We will review three bad ones.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Underpants Slam
Collecting blue underpants is the mission of the game. You need to run, jump, and stomp your way across the level in order to get the job done and collect all the underwear.
If you step into a door you will go to a different part of the stage. This is quite confusing, because you do not know where you will end up.
The graphics are decent, but the controls are very sensitive and it feels like you are sliding all over the place. For a kids game the controls are way too hard.
The game gets boring pretty quickly, because you keep doing the same thing over and over again.
Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants
If you like the Mario Party games then you will be surprised that this game tries to emulate it but is not that fun. The good part is that you can play as all the familiar characters from the Spongebob cartoon.
This game lets you play against your friends or against the computer. The best way to play this game is against two other friends of yours, because the cpu does not get the job done.
The graphics are nothing fantastic but at least it does not stand out like a sore thumb. The voice acting is pretty good.
SpongeBob Squarepants: The Yellow Avenger
In this Nintendo DS game you get to control Spongebob Squarepants. The top screen is where you need to look when you are moving the d-pad and pressing the jump button.
What makes this game bad is that it really is too simple. Do not expect a platform game like Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario Bros. You will be severely disappointed if you do.
This is a very simple and boring game that you need to avoid at all cost.
While thinking about the games just reviewed they all have a couple of things in common. On one side the graphics are decent, but on the other side the games offer no real substance. - 36864
